From Reaction to Prevention
Karen began her career as an employment and work health and safety lawyer, working on matters involving bullying, harassment, discrimination and serious physical safety incidents. Many of these cases involved significant harm.
She saw the cost.
In 2010, Karen made a deliberate shift.
Instead of responding after damage was done, she chose to focus on prevention. On helping leaders build workplaces where speaking up is encouraged, accountability is clear and psychological safety is embedded in everyday behaviour.
That decision led to the creation of SmartCulture® and to keynote stages across Australia.
